Howdy do, Tangerines! Nugget here, with a long overdue Tangent Artists Newsletter, just for you. And I do mean YOU. (Yeah, you, the person reading this right now. You are awesome. Carry on.)
We had lots of fun at Raven Con, and met plenty of new folks, and got a great chance to promote Monica’s book, “Must Love Dragons.” You know that there's a series of novels based on CRIT, right? Book 2 in the series, "Runs in Good Condition" (by Monica Marier) is now available for Pre-order through Hunt Press! (paperback only)
Haven't read Book 1 yet? You can order "Must Love Dragons" (M. Marier) the paperback OR ebook on Amazon today!
The next convention we’re going to heading to is Ikasukon, which will be on July 8-10 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Midwest, are you ready to ROCK? (Er, I mean, read some rockin’ webcomics.)
What’s going on in our comics? Why, I’m glad you asked!
Skeleton Crew – Purse of the Mummy. She was introduced in the last panel of last issue, but now we get to meet her a little more intimately- Princess Amon-Anda, mummy girl and center of attention. Will she prove a valuable asset to the team, or cast them to the wind?
Donuts for Looking – Loose Ends. We’re now into the fourth and final issue of the “Murder at the Con”. Is the Sneaky Ninja really the cause behind the MC’s death, or is there some other sinister soul still at large? Find out, and hold your breath!
CRIT! – Frost Bite- A Crit-themed limerick.
Kiyana’s afraid for her brudder,
They’ve lost one, will they lose anudder
Can Linus set right
Harm caused by Frostbite
Or will they end up peanut butter?
Do you love Tangent Artists so much that you want to take it home with you? Then order your favorites at IndyPlanet. Currently, you can buy Issues 1 and 2 of Skeleton Crew (DOUBLE-SIZED at 40+ pages each), and the full-color Issue 1 of CRIT! What are you waiting for? I’d order all three myself, but credit-cards aren’t issued to fictional mascots. (Or, maybe it’s ‘cause the banks think I’m a risk and I don’t pay my bills on time)
So, make sure you stay tuned each weekend for more updates. If you like us (and I KNOW you do,) “Like” us on facebook, and most importantly, spread the word. Somewhere out there, I’m sure you have a friend, schoolmate, or second cousin who hasn’t heard of us. Fix that! With super-kitty speed!
